My first try on something I've never ever think of trying, Japanese manga or chibi is something I really don't have the guts to try, probably because I'm not a big fan of them as well (But i really like them), and I really suck in all those proportions.

Anyway, I'm printing badges to be sold in my country, so I thought of trying something fresh and new. A series of chibis to be printed on badges! If any of you malaysians are really interested in the badges, drop me a note ;)

Owh and If you're planning to commission me on chibis, you could let me try it out but I'm not sure if I can handle it :/ I'll prolly just go back to sci-fi concept arts. LOL

Be kind!

Solid colours work very well with the simplicity of the chibis, IMHO. and your came out really well, There is a subtle way of placing the elements that makes the chibi look foreigner, but at least for me it's something to applause. Perhaps it's because most of the chibis look alike and this one have a different personality, probably because some of the usual anatomy and colouring blended in.

I would buy it, Im sure a lot more people would.

Huh, those two chibis are cute :) Even if I'm not a fan of anime/manga and all that stuff, they make me smile. Going out from a comfort zone by making some unusual can be really challenging, but it's a good way to learn something new and, maybe, find some new ideas (I know that because right now I'm also trying to make some sci-fi stuff instead of usual organic sculpting). So good luck :)
